A little about us…

We are based in beautiful Castle Rock, Colorado. We participate and travel to compete in AKC events nationally. We work hard to make sure each Principal Golden is an excellent representation of the breed and a dog of a life-time, capturing your heart and becoming your “Principal” pal. Our dogs are fully health tested adhering to the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA) code of ethics. Every dog we breed has a CHIC certification.

The OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) created the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) by partnering with parent clubs to research and maintain information on the health issues in specific breeds. They have an established protocol for breed-specific heath screenings. Dogs tested in accordance with that protocol are recognized with a CHIC number and certification.

We are a small home based hobby-breeder that is focused on making positive contributions to the overall breed; with primary focus on health, disposition, conformation and longevity through preservation breeding pratcices. Our dogs are family first above all else!

  • You will first need to complete a puppy questionnaire. A follow-up phone call will then be conducted to discuss, and mutually agree this is the right fit for your family. We will also discuss if you prefer a male or female. We are also happy to refer you to other reputable golden retriever breeders if timing or litter plans do not work for you, however we feel it’s worth the wait!

  • First picks are for our “keeper” from the litter and any show/performance prospects. This cannot be determined until very close to when they go home as a lot changes as puppies grow and mature. We will work with you to make sure the puppy you take home is the best fit for your lifestyle, family, and aligns with your preferences and needs.

  • We love local homes, but we are happy to help families from out of state!
